Crew ProfileCaptain: Daniel Cudnik
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Daniel served honorably in the United States Coast Guard from 1995 until 1997 where he was a boarding team member for federal law enforcement and search and rescue duties. After leaving the Coast Guard he owned and operated a family business with his brother for approximately 10 years in Cleveland from 1998 - 2008. While running the business, he went to school and earned a B.S.B.A degree from John Carroll University in 2004, majoring in Management with an emphasis on Entrepreneurship.
Daniel’s love of the water started at age 2 with his family boating on Lake
Erie. By the age of 14, he was confidently captaining the family’s 40 foot boat. While he was successful running the family business, Daniel decided to relocate to Fort Lauderdale to pursue his passion on the water in 2008. He enrolled in the required seamanship courses and landed on his first boat as a
deckhand. He soon moved up the ranks to his first captain’s job in 2012.
His seagoing travels have taken him up and down the East Coast of the United States, across the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, extensively through the Bahamas and down to the British Virgin Islands. He is skilled in CPR and First Aid, is an experienced scuba diver and skilled in snorkeling and stand up paddle boarding. His unparalleled, worldwide experience will impress even the most well-traveled clientele.First Mate: Luke Hulen
Luke grew up in Huntington Beach, California, surfing, sailing and bodysurfing. His love for the ocean led him to participate in Sea Scouts throughout high school where he learned navigation and seamanship skills. After graduation he completed an aviation maintenance program, which gave him a vast set of troubleshooting and mechanical skills, fueling his curiosity for technical and engineering work. During this time he worked at a metal fabrication company that specialized in the maritime industry, leading to his first full time yachting position as a deckhand.
Through his passion for learning, Luke quickly moved up to a Mate/Engineer position and this led him to complete his USCG 100 ton captain's licence. Luke’s cruising experience is extensive; from the West Coast, including: California, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama; and the East Coast, from South Florida to Boston Massachusetts, and over to the Bahamas. Being an avid hobbyist, Luke enjoys photography, surfing, free-diving, or you could say anything on and in the water!Stewardess: Lauren Kilb
Born and raised ‘Down Under’ in Perth, Western Australia, Lauren developed an early sense of adventure; growing up camping, off-roading, and spending weekends on the water, either on her small family boat, or wave jumping on their Jet Ski’s. This desire for water led Lauren to study outdoor education in high school where the class completed an independent sea trek, sailing on open water. Lauren’s love for travel and art had her backpacking alone around Europe as soon as she graduated design collage. Upon her return she continued to pursue a successful career in graphic design, becoming the Design Manager for a national marketing agency.
After 8+ years in the marketing industry, Lauren’s desire to better know her family in America inspired her to leave on another adventure. Following exploration of many US states, Lauren found the yachting industry in 2014, where she met her fiancé working on her first yacht. Since working as a Jnr. Stew, Lauren has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience to offer as Chief Stewardess, to give guests a fun and memorable experience. Lauren’s cruising experience extends to both the west and east coast of the US, as well as the Bahamas; including the amazing azure waters of the Exumas, where she would enjoy helping guests take photographs, snorkel and Jet Ski.
