Schooner 'EROS' is a classic beauty built in England in 1939 for the daughter and son-in-law of a British Lord. She was very soon after commandeered by the Royal Navy to participate in the famous evacuation at Dunkirk. After the war she became the private yacht of the first man internationally known as a billionaire, Stavros Niarchos, and she became well known in the Mediterranean yachting community. Her present owners acquired her in 1992 and have just completed a museum quality restoration, no expenses spared!

'EROS' comfortably accommodates up to eight guests in four double cabins. The usual toys are aboard for amusing oneself when at anchor: small boats suitable for sailing, paddling or skiing, snorkeling gear and dive boat, plasma TV, piano, hammocks - the list goes on!

When money is no object, the EROS crew can arrange for you to have the ultimate toy aboard - one of Graham Hawke's deep flight submersibles along with a qualified instructor.

The professional crew of five includes a very experienced Captain and gourmet chef. Guests can swing in a hammock sipping a tropical drink, swim to the beach, or take the helm and help hoist the sails if you wish.

    chef: Adriane Collins

As a child, Adriane spent years living between Florida and coastal Massachusetts with her family. The love of travel came at a young age along with the love of the ocean and her confidence at sea. Her family had different vessels over the years and she went to summer camp on the educational schooner The Spirit of Massachusetts. Adriane learned how to sail in the beautiful Puget Sound of Washington state and soon realized she would rather sail in the sun than the rain. She moved to the U.S Virgin Islands and got a job on a day sailboat. After several years of lovely island living she travelled to Antigua for Antigua Race Week and was surprised to learn there were non race boats with permanent crew. That changed everything. She went on her first big delivery and has been working on traveling boats ever since. Over the years Adriane discovered the galley and the adventure of cooking at sea. She learned the culinary language and her skills grew while provisioning all over the world. As a traveler she always explores the local cuisines, and takes courses to learn how to bring these flavors to her galley.

    mate: Erica Lush

With a lust for the sea and a love of classic boats, Erica is eager to show you the ropes aboard Eros, and keep her cruising along as you enjoy all that your Eros has to offer.

  • Testimonials

"Thank you for everything that you must do to keep this vessel available to those of us without your courage to undertake such a daunting task. Sleeping on her deck and contemplating the heavens through the frame of her rigging provided a picture of sheer magnificence. And the sailing compounded the joy of it all. The entire crew was sensational and all in it has left me wanting more."

    - Antigua and Barbuda (Christmas and New Year 2017/2018)

"My week on Eros during the Antigua regatta was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had. The combination of a beautiful boat, an amazing crew and great meals make for a wonderful vacation. The racing was fun too!"

-S.R., Hermosa Beach, CA (April 2017)

"I recently had the opportunity to go sailing on Eros with my son, some of my best buddies and their sons. What an experience! The boat is beautiful - everything it's advertised to be. We hit surfing and snorkeling spots you can't get to without a boat. We did some fishing, took many father/son kayak trips and just soaked up the amazing sun and waters of the BVIs. Simply put, a trip we will remember forever."

    -B.D., San Gabriel, CA (2017)

"Excellent in every way. Loved the sailing. We wouldn’t change a thing."

    -J.M., Denver, CO (2017)

“Our group of seven ladies absolutely loved every minute of our five days on board Eros; we are very grateful for the experience and look forward to returning with husbands and kids.”

    -R.J., New York, NY (2017)

"We had an amazing time. Eros is a spectacular yacht, the crew was excellent, the USVI were beautiful and the weather was good too! The highlight of the trip was sail down passage between USVI & BVI. We also had great time with anchored activities: diving off transom/swimming around Eros; snorkeling with colorful reef fish, turtles and a sting ray; seeing spotted eagle rays jumping out of the water; enjoying delicious meals; “skurfing” (one son learned to water ski, the other learned to wake board); spending two afternoons on uncrowded beaches; etc. Great family time!”
