    Captain: Luka Gasper Senk (29)

    Luka and Victoria met whilst working in Egypt in 2013, Luka sailing a 74ft day sail high performance catamaran and Victoria as a Diving Instructor. Over the past 4 years, they’ve completed over 70 crewed yacht charters as Captain and Chef sailing around the Caribbean.

    Their love for the ocean took them to places such as Belize, Greece and the Caribbean, they’ve acquired lots of adventures tales and would love to share these with you. Their warm, friendly & professional personalities allow a relaxed & welcoming atmosphere onboard The Cure.

    Luka was born in Slovenia, a small country surrounded by Italy, Austria, Hungary & Croatia which boast copious amounts of beautiful rolling mountain tops and North Adriatic Sea. As a young boy Luka spent most of his weekend’s sailing Optimist sail boats. Luka has over 30,000 nautical miles under his belt. After a year long voyage through South Pacific paradise all the way from Caribbean to Australia in 2010, Luka was committed to life long career in yachting industry. His can do attitude and avid interest in engineering combined with his love for sailing compliments his desire to provide exceptional customer service.

    Chef/Mate: Victoria Mark

    Victoria is from the North East of England, her love from the ocean has started from a young age as she has grown within walking distance to the beach. Her grandmother was an exceptional chef and her passion and love for the cooking was certainly inspired through her. Combining her love for the ocean she started her career as a diving instructor but soon realised she missed cooking, and decided to combine the two for her perfect career. Victoria enjoys fresh, high flavour foods and continually experiments with local cuisine. She has a vast amount of experience in specialist dietary requirements and has a certificate in Nutritional Therapy. Her aim is to provide the ultimate taste sensation, paired with the perfect wine.

    Hey Rich-

    Finally catching up on the crazy number of emails I got while we were away...

    Anyways, we sure do miss you guys and the boat too! That was by far the best travel experience that we have ever had, hands down. I think you guys may have spoiled us for good! Peter Island probably would have been great if we had gone there first...but after experiencing the boat...we have come to the conclusion that resorts are boring!!! (other than dining with Tia Leoni....)
    I already spoke to Kathy (who helped us book the boat) about next year...I can't see traveling in the Caribbean any other way....really
    We are all so grateful to you and Adele for being such terrific hosts, expert navigators, excellent chefs and awesome adventure guides. Your attention to our children was  far above and beyond the call of duty; especially the Easter egg hunt. You guys did an amazing job and we so appreciate it.
    I would be happy to write you a letter of recommendation if you ever find yourself needing one...
    We will send you some photos from the trip shortly  (although I think the rum may have affected my "photographer's eye", wink, wink).

    Also, you have us chatting about a South Africa trip....we'll see where it goes....

    The yacht was perfect.  It is relatively new, extremely well maintained and perfectly suited to our needs.
    I can’t say enough about Richard and Adele.  They are charming and capable as captain, crew, cook and companions.  We would hire them again any time.  The menu exceeded our expectations.  It was not so exotic as to be off-putting but fresh, elegantly prepared and delicious.  The BVI met our needs extremely well.  My only criticism at all is that the St. Thomas airport and security are tedious.  Better systems would enhance tourism and allow more time to spend money in St. Thomas rather than waiting in airport.  Obviously, this is not within your control.
