ASTERIA is the ideal combination of a rugged, go-anywhere expedition yacht with the interior services and staff of a world-class luxury superyacht. Her spacious living quarters have been completely redesigned, providing guests with all the comfort and amenities of a 5-star hotel. From the sundeck offering unobstructed 360-degree views to the outdoor Jacuzzi and lounge complete with a fully equipped bar, ASTERIA offers total comfort even in the most remote corners of the world.

Originally converted from an oceangoing salvage tug to an expedition yacht in 2002, ASTERIA’s strong hull is complimented by a set of “zero speed” stabilizers that minimize motion both at anchor and underway. The dedicated helideck will easily accommodate medium-sized helicopters.

ASTERIA’S six luxury cabins (1 King, 4 Queen, 2 Single, 2 Convertible), located on the main deck and the tender deck, allow her to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests, each with en suite bathroom. Elsewhere, the vessel also has 11 twin crew cabins to accommodate the 11 permanent crew as well as any local guides, scientists, expedition leaders or even masseuses that may be taking part in your expedition.

ASTERIA carries a wide range of functional and fun tenders and toys suitable for most forms of coastal and inland exploration. These include a Nautica RIB with landing-craft bow, ideal for beach landings, diving, or a gliding silently along rivers and creeks. Two Laser Pico sailing dinghies, kayaks, paddle skis, water skis and a wakeboard also are available. ASTERIA carries a Bauer dive compressor and has Nitrox diving capabilities. Iridium and Inmarsat satellite telephones, Iridium and VSAT satellite data, Internet (Wi-Fi), and GMDSS ensure that guests can keep in touch with civilization And of course, no expedition would be complete without being able to explore the skies with their telescope.

ASTERIA also has an optional helicopter, the ultimate exploration tool.

On board ASTERIA, charter guests will be looked after by her professional, multinational crew. This talented team includes a world class chef, who will provide meals from a menu specifically designed to match the charter party’s personal tastes and requirements, incorporating local produce and dishes whenever possible.
